Welcome

Faction North Ltd works at the cutting edge of drama, documentary, TV and cross platform production.  Led by award winning producer Grant Keir, the company was established in 1998 and has offices in the city of Edinburgh, Scotland. We are currently in production with Anca Damian of Aparte Film (Romania) on the Film i Vast backed feature film "A Very Unsettled Summer" and with Curious Film (New Zealand) on the feature / thriller "Mystery Ride". We are also coproducing the feature length drama "Kippie" with Uhuru Productions (South Africa).  Faction North combines the talents and experience of producers Grant Keir and Peter Day, together with writer / director Virginia Heath. 

We produce international award winning drama, such as our short film ‘Relativity’ that won the UIP Prix Berlinale in 2002 and we were the first company to produce an ‘on-line’ documentary series Smart Hearts, for Channel Four.  We regularly work with UK and international broadcasters including BBC, C4, ARTE, ABC Australia, UKFC, BFI, National Film Board of Canada, Screen Yorkshire and New Zealand Film Commission.  Click Grant Keir for imdb credits.
